Why I'm Reading It

This book has been on my shelf since its release in 2010. I knew the author's plan called for a ten book series, and I didn't want a repeat of some other fantasy series I will not name. But Sanderson has been cranking them out with regular frequency, and he now has a significant head start on me. I've heard good things, and I'm excited to dive into such a huge world.

My Thoughts, Critique, Review

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It's LONG, but that was a benefit. There's a big world here, compelling characters, unexpected turns, intriguing political drama, and plenty of relatable ideas. Obviously, there are thousands of pages of story to go, and I'm looking forward to reading them, but that makes it difficult to judge the whole. Overall, I enjoyed it, and I'm excited to read the next volume.
